Michael et all- We had several new LAS members buy their first scopes Saturday night. The great part was that they went right outside and used them! One family bought two scopes- the Explore Scientific 127 on the Celestron Advanced GT Mount AND the Orion 6" Dob for their daughter Iko.

Wayne and Tammi Nichols bought their family an 80mm Orion Refractor on an alt az mount and the fam had a great time with it in the field. Other scopes to go into service were the Celestron 5" Maksutov-Cassegrain and John Ford, the Mad Science guy, bought the Meade LX50 tracking scope for just 300.

What a great night! We raised over $2,000 for the LAS!
