Our Space Fundraiser at the Planetarium

All proceeds benefit the Louisville Astronomical Society's Public Library Telescope Loan Program: louisville-astro.org/Library-Telescope-Program and the New Observatory at the Curby Indiana LAS Space Center.dedicated to EAA, Electronically Assisted Astronomy.

5:00 pm "Reaching Beyond for Applications Below" by Space Tango
Twyman Clements, Co-Founder, President & CEO of Space Tango, will discuss how the experiments they conduct in space benefit all humans on Earth. Visit their interactive booth to learn more about their autonomous space labs. Learn more at: spacetango.com

5:30 pm "3D Printing Human Tissue in Space" by Techshot, Inc.
Rich Boling, Vice President of Techshot, will discuss their 3D BioFabrication Facility which is manufacturing human tissue in the microgravity condition of space. Visit their interactive booth to learn more about their BioFabrication micro chips. Learn more at: techshot.com

6:00 pm "Guidance Internal: Lessons From Astronauts" by Cosmic Perspective
Rocket launch filmmakers MaryLiz Bender and Ryan Chylinski will take us on a stunning journey to the forefront of space exploration –– straight to the launch pads at liftoff and and their intimate interviews with astronauts. This is an exhilarating exploration into how the rocket is re-shaping humanity and what role we all play in this journey. 6:30 pm "Astronomy Close to Home" by Ken Alderson, President of Louisville Astronomical Society and Drew Foster, Director of the Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium. Ken and Drew will give you a tour of the night sky in their immersive, full-dome presentation. You'll know where to look for all of the planets and your favorite galaxies. Visit the Louisville Astronomical Society's solar telescopes, their interactive booth, and ask them all the questions you've ever had about owning and operating your own telescope to view the rings of Saturn! A full house at the Planetarium will provide the LAS with $1,500. towards expenses of the Library Lending Scopes and the new observatory. Donations of larger amounts are welcome and are tax-deductible.
