UAC Public Observation Night

  • Thu, June 13, 2019
  • 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • UAC - Urban Astronomy Center
Come out this Thursday night to the Urban Astronomy Center located in the Root Cellar Building in E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park here in Louisville. Rain or shine. Tonight we can observe the Waxing Gibbous Moon which will be 91% illuminated.

Members may arrive early for set-up. If the ground is wet, we will set-up behind the building on the asphalt. Scope set-up is weather dependent. Our scopes are unable to penetrate the clouds and heavy moisture such as rain drops are bad for the electronics.
