Parklands Public Observation

  • Fri, July 27, 2018
  • 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • PNC Achievement Center Beckley Creek Park
Tonight the monthly LAS public observation will be at Beckley Creek Park at the same time Friday@Floyd's will be going on. There will be fun for the whole family with live bluegrass music, food trucks, craft beer, wine and a full moon! Come out to the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Pavilion in Beckley Creek Park in the Parklands of Floyds Fork on July 27 from 5-10PM for Friday at Floyd's hosted by Fleur De Flea Vintage Urban Markets! Bring your family and friends and don’t leave your four legged friends behind (leashes please). Live bluegrass music will be provided by Whiskey Bent Valley Boys! It’s going to be a beautiful evening. Special thanks to QUEST OUTDOORS for sponsoring and FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA WINE for sampling.
This is a FREE event. Food and spirits will be available for sale. Chairs will not be provided, so we suggest that folks bring their own lawn chairs.

Our part in the celebration will start with solar observing at 5:00 PM. Then the 16 day old Moon, which was Full the day before, will rise a little after 9:30 PM but Jupiter, Saturn and Mars will be available for observing before Moonrise. And of course we will celebrate Mars at Opposition tonight.

Set up for solar observing by 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM for the evening viewing.

This event is being held at the PNC Achievement Center in Beckley Creek Park.
